About the Blockchain Risk Map

What is the Blockchain Risk Map?

The Blockchain Risk Map is an initiative put forth by the Blockchain Risk Working Group (BRWG).

  • It is a categorized guide to the different types of risk users may encounter when engaging with EVM-compatible blockchain systems.
  • It helps users navigate the technical, operational, and behavioral vulnerabilities inherent to decentralized technologies.

The Internet is entering a new era enabled by blockchain, where things can currently seem more complicated and less secure. Only with a clear understanding of the risks that lie beneath the surface can we fully benefit from the features of these technological systems and advance our global society through paradigms like verifiability, censorship resistance, and peer-to-peer support.

The BRWG is a volunteer-based network of risk researchers co-founded by Jeremiah Smith (OpenCover logo OpenCover) and Sem Turan ( Nexus Mutual).
